What’s New In TimeTune 4.1

What's New In TimeTune 4.1

TimeTune 4.1 brings with it a new exciting feature for Premium users: Time tracking! πŸ™€

But apart from that, we implemented additional improvements that will make your life easier when using the app.

There’s also an important announcement for free users at the end, don’t miss it! πŸ“£

Let’s see the changes in detail:

TIME TRACKING

Premium users will be able to use ‘start’ and ‘stop’ buttons on the ‘Tags’ section to create time blocks on the fly ⏱

To start a block, click on the ‘start’ button next to the tag you want to use for the block:

Click on the ‘start’ button to start a block with that tag

To stop the block, just click on the ‘stop’ button. The app will add the corresponding block to your schedule:

Click on the ‘stop’ button to stop the block.
The block will be added to your schedule.

Alternatively, you can click on another ‘start’ button from another tag. That will automatically stop the previous block, add it to the schedule and start the new block.

Blocks created this way are exactly the same as blocks created manually on the schedule. But this new method allows you to record activities on the spot quickly and efficiently.

πŸ‘‰ If a block has a duration of ‘0 minutes’ or the duration is greater than ‘1440 minutes’ (24 hours), the block is not created.

EDITING THE SCHEDULE

On the ‘Schedule’ section, you can now click on the times on the left:

Click on a time on the schedule to edit that time

When you edit a time this way, you are making two changes in one. You are changing the end time of the first block and the start time of the second block:

After editing a time, the app will change the blocks accordingly

This feature comes in very handy when an activity finishes sooner or later than expected. Instead of editing each block manually, you can just edit the ‘switch time’ in a single move ✨

AUTOMATIC DARK THEME

If you are on Android 10 or above, you will be able to tell the app to follow the device’s light/dark theme:

Settings / Interface / Theme / System default

In fact, ‘System default’ will be the default setting when installing the app for the first time.

That gives the dark theme the same importance as the light theme, instead of being treated like a ‘second-class’ citizen.

THEME COLOR SELECTOR

When selecting the color for the interface, you will find a new selector:

New theme color selector

The new selector is bigger and clearer, so you have a better idea of how the app will look with a different color.

ANDROID 12

Google recently published Android 12. We made the necessary changes so TimeTune works correctly and efficiently with the new version of the operating system.

MINOR CHANGES

πŸ‘‰ We increased the length of text fields throughout the app.

πŸ‘‰ We added new dialog messages for some Premium features.

πŸ‘‰ We reinstated the ‘Disable notifications’ option on the Schedule’s top menu.

ATTENTION FREE USERS! πŸ“£

Starting January 1, 2022, the price of the Premium version will increase πŸ’²πŸ‘†

We’re letting everyone purchase the app at the current price until the end of 2021.

This is your chance to get a lifetime license for less!

Cheers! πŸ˜€
