Like our previous update, TimeTune 4.6 contains more changes on the inside than the outside. We’ve been improving the internal structure and squashing some bugs 🛠
However, we included some new features as well 😉
Let’s see those features in detail:
MORE COLORS FOR TAGS
Before TimeTune 4.6, the color picker for tags was a bit… ugly:
The color options were limited and they didn’t follow any logical order 🤦♀️
So, in version 4.6 we added three different shades (light, normal and dark) for each color. And we sorted colors by rainbow order too (like most color pickers do):
All colors on the new picker belong to the material color palette, which has been of great help.
However, choosing the specific shades for each color was not an easy task, because each shade has to:
- Work well with white text.
- Avoid getting confused with other colors.
- Show enough contrast against light and dark backgrounds.
- Show enough contrast between sibling shades (in both light and dark backgrounds).
That’s why that some colors may present a bigger ‘distance’ between shades than others. But the thing is… we tried them all! 🌈
Additionally, when you sort tags by color, the app will use the same rainbow order for that as well:
MORE COLORS FOR THE WIDGET
Following a suggestion from a beta user, we also implemented the new color picker in the setting that allows you to choose the color for the widget background:
The picker is basically the same, with the basic white and black colors at the top. When you combine the new color shades with the ‘Opacity’ setting, you have at your disposal a huge amount of combinations for your widget background 🎨
💡 If you’d like to be a beta tester too, remember that you can join the beta program from our page in Google Play.
ARABIC TRANSLATION
The Arabic translation had been requested for some time. There are a lot of people who speak Arabic and haven’t been able use TimeTune in their native language.
Now that the app finally supports right-to-left languages, it was time to implement it:
We’re certainly curious to see the adoption of the Arabic translation. Will this mean a boost of users from Arabic countries? 🤔
We don’t know, but we’ll keep you posted.
And we’d like to take this opportunity to send a special thanks to all the people who made an altruistic collaboration to the translation project. You are truly awesome! 🧡
MINOR AND TECHNICAL CHANGES
As usual, there are other minor and technical changes included in the new version:
- Solved a bug that scrolled the top bar when opening the keyboard.
- Solved a bug where some calendars don’t send the color of their events.
- The icon picker for tags has been rebuilt.
- Better contrast for some elements in dark theme.
- Modifications to the internal structure of the app.
- Library and translation updates.
Stay tuned, we keep working on further improvements! 😀

I would love it if there was a way to see the whole week and its time blocks. It’s the feature that’s keeping me from going paperless!
Hi, thanks for your suggestion! 😀
Hello,
I was wondering if there is a web version of your TimeTune app available. I am interested in using the app on my computer rather than a mobile device, and I was hoping there might be a way to access it online.
Could you please let me know if this is possible, and if so, how I can access the web version of the app?
Thank you for your time.
Hi! 👋 We don’t have a web version yet. We’re open to that possibility for the future, but the project still needs to grow more before we can justify the investment 📈
